Wow! What a great time in history to capture some awesome moments. The kids are doing home school, you're working from home, dad's working from home, everyone is quarantined. Siblings are becoming best friends, and families are reconnecting! Sounds like a great time to grab that cell phone a document these memories. Never before has your life looked like this, and maybe never again will it look like this. Let's record this. Here are a few tips to help you get better “quarantine” photos with your iphone.

But, before I get into the tips I must say, “PRINT YOUR PHOTOS!” So many of us are great about taking the photos, but then they stay buried on our cell phones, never to be seen again. So get in the habit of printing out your favorite photos every week. You'll be glad you did and your kids will be glad you did. Think about it, you may see those photos on your phone, but they don't get to see them. Print them and let everyone enjoy! Mpix.com has a great mobil app.

Avoid full/direct sun. No body looks good when they are squinting. The best time of day to photograph outside is morning light or evening light.
Check out your background. Take a second to look behind your subject and make sure they don't have any crazy tree branches coming out of their head, or other distractions in the background.
Avoid dark locations. You want to be able to see your subject.
Think composition. You may not necessarily want your subject to be right in the middle of your shot.
Higher angles are better for people. It's more flattering. Don't shoot up the nose.
